Professionally, Cornell boasts more than 15 years of invaluable experience within the federal government, specializing in program and project management. His expertise extends across a spectrum of areas including federal contracting, acquisition, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, strategic planning, and change management. Notably, he provides essential support to the Department of Defense.

In his capacity as a servant leader, Cornell has undertaken various roles within the Tougaloo College National Alumni Association (TCNAA). Currently serving as Chairman to its Board of Directors, he previously held positions as Vice-Chairman, Northeastern Regional Representative, and Representative At-Large, demonstrating his unwavering commitment to the institution and its community.

Driven by a profound desire to uphold the esteemed traditions of Tougaloo College, Cornell seeks to continue his dedicated service by representing the collective aspirations of alumni on the Board of Trustees.
