Tougaloo Flint Water Crisis Report

In response to the Flint Water Crisis, we[the college] have received an outpouring of support from our employees, alumni, trustees, churches and other colleges and universities. To date, we have collected over 6,000 cases of water. Many alumni are asking how they can continue to support this effort so we want to give you an opportunity to do so. We loaded an 18 wheeler on Wednesday, February 5th; however with such an outpouring of support of water donations, we now have about 1200 remaining cases to deliver to Flint. We need to rent another 18 wheeler to transport the water at a cost of $3,200.00. We are accepting donations to help defray the cost to the College. If you would like to support the Flint Water Crisis Project, you may do so by making a donation to Tougaloo College, with Flint Water Crisis Fund in the memo section. We thank you for your support.
