The Northern California Tougaloo College Alumni Chapter, NCTCAC, is back in action. The NCTCAC was re-activated August 2008 under the leadership of Diane Parker Berry and Janice Wilson (Reed). Members in attendance at the kick-off meeting are shown in the picture below:

The NCTAC is off to a good start with members actively participating in chapter meetings and planned activities. The NCTCAC is planning a Jazz Cruise for the fall of 2009 at which they hope to raffle a car. Stay tuned for details.

“a Tougaloo Christmas”

T’was the Saturday before Christmas”, and all around here, Tougaloo Alumni were stirring with Christmas cheer! It was the D/FW Chapter’s Annual Spirit of Giving Fundraiser, graced by our own presidents Beverly Hogan ’73 and Roosevelt Turner ‘72.

We were honored that Tougaloo College President, Dr. Beverly Hogan and TCNAA President, Mr. Roosevelt Turner took time from their busy schedules to join area Tougaloo students, alums and friends of Tougaloo at the home of Dr. Jimmie (’73) and Mrs. Lela (’74) Thompson.

Festive holiday dishes, singing, reminiscing, and games helped to blend the joy of Christmas with a celebration of Tougaloo. Thank you to everyone who supported us, and our efforts to support Tougaloo College.
